Maritime Aviation Heads to Seawork 2026

The commercial maritime and superyacht sectors are moving at an unprecedented pace. Operating a modern vessel requires balancing stricter international regulations, evolving environmental mandates, and emerging onboard safety risks. For captains, engineers, and fleet managers, staying ahead of compliance is no longer just a legal necessity—it is the foundation of operational survival.

From 9 to 11 June 2026, the international maritime community will gather at Mayflower Park in Southampton for the Seawork Exhibition, Europe's largest commercial marine and workboat exhibition. This year, Maritime Aviation is proud to announce that we will be right at the heart of the action, exhibiting within the prestigious British Superyacht Pavilion in Hall 3 on Stand SY6.

As proud members of the pavilion, our presence aligns perfectly with the shared industry ethos: Stronger Together in Leading the Industry. We are bringing the global quality, precision, and excellence of British maritime aviation standards down to the water, showcasing how aviation-grade rigor can elevate safety across the entire marine sector.

At Seawork 2026, the Maritime Aviation team will be debuting two vital technical innovations specifically engineered to address the industry's most pressing safety and fuel management challenges.

1. The Next Generation of Portable Fire Extinguishers - Zenova FX from Maritime Aviation

Onboard fires remain one of the most catastrophic risks a crew can face. Compounding this challenge is the exponential rise of lithium-ion batteries on vessels—found in everything from tender, toys and e-foils to advanced hybrid propulsion systems—which present a violent thermal runaway risk that traditional extinguishers simply cannot manage.

At Stand SY6, we are presenting our new innovation in marine fire suppression. These cutting-edge portable fire extinguishers (6L & 9L) are fully MED/MER approved (Marine Equipment Directive / Marine Equipment Regulations), carrying the vital "Ships Wheel" mark of compliance. Crucially, they are PFAS compliant, aligning perfectly with upcoming environmental bans on fluorinated firefighting foams. Engineered to handle volatile lithium-ion battery fires alongside all classes of fire, this innovation eliminates onboard guesswork when every second counts.

2. FUELSTAT® One

FUELSTAT® One test kits are a new innovation in lateral flow fuel testing for microbe detection. They can be used wherever fuel is manufactured, stored, sold or used.

Unlike traditional tests, FUELSTAT® test kits can be used at the tank, wherever it is located.

With FUELSTAT® One, tests typically take 20-30 minutes from sample taken, to full PDF report, unlike growth-based tests that need lab-based conditions and at least 72 hours. With easy-to-understand alert levels and a fully quantitative result, you instantly know whether you need to take further action.

The process is self-contained, requiring no additional equipment—just a single FUELSTAT® One fuel testing kit for each test. It’s so easy to use, that a single individual can carry out the tests with only minimal training. Added to which, the FREE FUELSTAT® Result app will guide users through the whole process with simple to follow step-by-step video instructions.
